Milwaukee's Evening Time
|
|
Just spent some time for myself at the Park, walking towards the Museum of Arts. And, suddenly my battery went off. So, only some half of the experience were captured. But, still lucky coz got some pictures of the museum with its wings closed, as it put down its wings after 8 p.m. So, here are some of the pictures.
p/s: I'm so lazy to do any digital improvement, which I barely know a thing, so bear with the low quality

I went to an arts store with my good friend, Paeh. As always, we brought along a camera, making it handy for capturing some pictures. Thought it was the best day for both of us 'coz we never had good chance to hang around Milwaukee City. But, the trip to the store gave us chance to stop by at the Milwaukee Arts Muzeum near the lake (you know which lake I'm talking 'bout).
Here are pictures we got from the trip. Too impressive, which I think one must go to the place to grab the experience in real life so you'll know how great it is. But, not to forget, God's creations are way beyond human capabilities. Subhaana ALLAH.

Yesterday, I and Faiz a.k.a. Paeh (http://mfaizz.fotopages.com) joined a BBQ picnic at Nagawaukee Park. Yes, mainly we had BBQ, then we played some games, only volleyball and frisbee. Though there is a place to swim, definitely I was not interested to jump into the water because I just wanted to hang around after finishing a week of class.
About 15 people participated. I got to know some new friends, especially Tai, a guy from Thailand who is right now a PhD student in UWM, but man he's shorter than me. At first, I never thought he had a Master, but voila we both doing Economics, but he already had a degree in Econ and currently doing PhD in Econ too. His economic focus is more into development and community work. But we both agree that graduating a degree in Economics provides you nothing, except the brain to reason things, not more than that.
Ops, I should talk about the BBQ thing. I reeally care about the foods I consume, so the organizer helped to provide halal meat, thank God! But during the BBQing process, it was "yucky" coz they also put burger on the same grill I put my halal meat. It makes the blood from the burger jumped to my halal sausage. Maann I was at that time about to do my Asar prayer, it makes me nervous letting them handle the grill but I think it should not bother me much since I had to pray first. But hey, this is the reality, which we cannot avoid though we try our best to fit in, but thanks to the Almighty, everything went well for us forgot to mention, watching the sunset was the best moment coz it was the moment I think how beautiful is God's creation and how gracefully the sun sets.
It was an experience then, a new experience for having BBQ with non-Muslims... but it was worth it since I got to know somebody from different places. He (Tai) even called me the day after asking me to join him playing frisbee, but I had no choice to excuse myself for the soccer game I planned to join with my Malaysian friends. Maybe next time I'll join the frisbee game, I really like playing frisbee but I don't know why my Malaysian friends really hate it... hmmm it's up to individual, everyone has his or her own favorite of choice, to me, I'll try to play anything even though I'm not good at it... Because learning and playing is the same for me
credits to my good buddy, Paeh, for the lovely pics!

Good Hope: BBQ and Fishing
|
|
Fishing dan BBQin at Good Hope, actually to be precise, we were all having a good time hanging out near Milwaukee River. Eating BBQ chicken with sour sauce and then got nothing from fishing. But Zul did caught an endangered fish which could not be taken home but required by the law to be released. This is America, to fishing needs a little knowledge about the species of fish and the permitted length to be taken to home. Otherwise, you'll be prosecuted by the laws for going against the laws and regulations of the Department of Natural Resources (if I not mistaken).
Enjoy the pics then...

Tapi best jugak walaupun mula tu forecasted weather akan hujan but then the truth was only sunny and cloudy ada la sikit hujan tu pun macam tak rasa je. Then on da way balik singgah ke umah Abang Wan... borak-borak, makan-makan, main game donkey kong gamecube pasal anak-anak sedara suh main, pastu baru balik... puas berjalan first day holiday!!
